The Church of God Evangel began in 1910 as The Evening Light and Church of God Evangel, but the title was shortened to The Church of God Evangel in 1911. Since its beginning it has served as the primary voice of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee). Issues include theological, biblical and historical articles.
